    Shows... to watch....

    NOT!!!!!!

Hmmmm... I have my usual routine in the evening to let my brain cool before getting it started again on figuring some work-related stuff.

Well, due to Astloh being so "efficient" in sending me virtually no information about what shows they got, I somehow manage to catch the following shows during the prime time of 8:00pm - 12:00am:

    1. Top 10 Countdown to Best Beaches in ______ (always seem to be US, Mediterranean or South America)
    2. Some animal show on National Geographic
    3. Some other animal show on Discovery Channel
    4. Friends
    5. Frasier (Mondays only....)
    6. Airplane crash show on National Geographic
    7. American Chopper (seen a few times during the weekend -__-)
    8. Fairly Odd Parents (Nickolodeon - cartoon-la)
    9. Megastructure thing or construction thing on either National Geographic or Discovery Channel
    10. Some disaster investigation show on Discovery Channel

I just figured out that there are shows being showed on satellite tv that either completely drains your brain power or just instill some deep fear because you think it might happen to you...

    1. Airplane crash show
Aiyo... After watching so many episodes, you wonder as you fly from location A to B, whether if the plane would just a) fall apart in the sky, b) blow an engine or two, c) kena bomb... The list goes on. Guarrantee, after watching a whole season, you might as well think twice about flying and want to take either train or boat to whatever destination that is far away. But wait.. After watching the other show on Discovery about disaster on train/boat, you might even think three times again..... -__-

    2. Teenage soapy dramas
Ok-la... All the short terms come in liao... OC-la, 1TH (bukit satu pokok), Kecikville (Smallville)... These shows just tell you, being a teenager in the U.S.A is not easy. Got pressure to be rich, beautiful, smart, sleep with every girl/boy by the time you hit puberty.. Bla bla... Once in a while, they talk about some interesting stuff, like some kid gets some disease but miraculously will be cured (???) or some thing that touches the conscience of someone... Haiiii...

    3. Reality shows
Alamak..... At first, I was quite surprised that there is a show which asks its contestants to eat something nasty like insects or 100-year-old eggnog. Urrgghh... After a few rounds, I think I can nicely have my din-din while watching some poor gal (with large boobs) gulp down some large male-animal genital parts... Ever notice that these people who come on these shows are so pleasing to the eye?? Haha... Ok, there are some exceptions.. If you like back-stabbing and cunning, watch Apprentice or Survivor. I think these two shows appeal to our primal desire of "flight or fight". Kekeke...

My mom thinks that cartoons rot the brain. LOL... Probably is true but its kind of entertaining as well. And so are all of these shows.

Anyway, the tv is just a box, but I do think that in my family, its kind of important. If ever the tv or Astloh malfunctions, I'll get one frantic call from my parents. Funnily though, my dog doesn't care about the moving pictures on the tv even though from time to time, she can hear cat or dog sounds...

Meanwhile, I'll try to recover some brain power by doing something more productive like picking up one of those things with lots of papers squashed between some cardboard - a book...

Scary.... Scary.... EEEeeeee... Let's watch it!!

I'm a sucker for anime... Especially those which makes you go "Huh??? What the heck was that all about??"

Anyway, this review about this new scary anime, Kakurenbo:Hide and Seek I read from AnimeFringe is pretty cool. I won't talk about the movie as I've not seen it yet. Just the pictures of those kids in cat (neko) masks is scary enough....

Read it! Or better still, get the movie on DVD, watch it!
